Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan. 12 / Trend , N.Ismayilova /In January to November 2008 the Public budget incomes increased by 27.1 percent and totaled 9387,3 million manats as compared to the same period of the last year by 68.7 percent.
The expenditure of the budget increased by 71 percent and reached 8280,8 million manats (23.9 percent of GDP). The budget was implemented with surpluses totaling AZN 1106,5 million manats or 3.2 percent of the GDP.
The Ministry of Taxes remitted 55.9 percent of all income, or 3753,9 million manats to the Public budget, implementing the forecast at 104.2 percent. The State Customs Committee remitted 1025 million manats (with a special weight of 10.9 percent) in taxes and duties to the public budget, fulfilling the forecast at 100.4%.
During this period, the incomes from VAT totaled 1728,3 million manats or 18.4 percent of the aggregate profits, profit tax - 2726,8 million manats (29 percent), income tax - 561,1 million manats (6 percent), excise tax - 374,1 million manats (4 percent), property tax - 101 million manats (1.1 percent), the subsoil tax - 124,6 million manats (1.3 percent), and taxes on external economic operations - 415,8 million manats (4.4 percent).
On social provision and protection of population, the Public budget spend 745,7 million manats (9 percent), education - 794,3 million manats (9.6 percent), health - 274,6 million manats (3.3 percent), maintenance of law-enforcement and prosecutor organs - 419,1 million manats (5.1 percent), investments into economy - 4004,3 million manats (48.3 percent), including housing and utilities expenditure - 132,2 million manats (1.6 percent), rural, forestry, and also fishery - 235,4 million manats (2.8 percent), transport and communications - 72,5 million manats (0.9 percent). At the same time 23.8 percent or 1973,6 million manats were spent to payment of salaries, pensions and allowances of the population.
