Azerbaijani plans to spend public investments economically to reduce impact of the global financial crisis, standing parliamentary commission on economic policy head Ziyad Samadzade said. Azerbaijani 2009 budget is expected to be reconsidered in May.
"The global financial crisis will be taken into account during reconsideration. Funds for large investment programs will be spent economically," Samadzade said.
All investment programs will be implemented. No public program will be canceled, he said.
Expenditures of the 2009 public budget are forecast at 12.35 billion manat and capital investments in major funds - 5.60 billion manat. Social expenditures make up 33 percent. About 2.13 billion manat will be allocated for science, education, health care, culture and physical training and youth policy.
