The State Consumer market Control Department under the Azerbaijani Economic Development ministry withdrew from sale more than 620 kg of expired products during its next monitoring on the consumer market, the ministry said on Aug.3.
The ministry held monitoring in the Nasimi, Sabunchu, Azizbeyov regions of Baku, in the cities Ganja and Sumgayit, as well as in Azerbaijani Saatli, Dashkasan and Gusar regions.
The ministry withdrew expired products including sausages and confectionary, oil, milk, drinks, beer and baby food "Malyutka" and "Nestle" from the shops of these regions.
The ministry also revealed 36.6 tons of false cement during the monitoring in the Khatai region.
The ministry drew up acts on administrative violations towards 21 physical and legal entities.
Generally after the Azerbaijani president's decree on amendments and additions to Administrative Violations Code dated May 17, 39 legal entities were fined in the amount of 152,500 manat and 236 physicals to 354,500 manat.
On Aug.3, the official exchange rate is 0.8042 manat to $1.
