The average price of construction materials on the Baku market increased 2.7 percent in August, the public organization Participants of Real Property said.
The prices fell by 4.4 percent since the start of the year and by 41.8 percent compared to the same period of 2008.
The monitoring was held on 38 items and 91 varieties of construction materials, out of which a decrease was observed on 17 items and prices remained stable on 60. Prices increased for 14 items.
In August, prices of construction sand increased by 1.9 percent, armatures - two percent, and channel - 7.1 percent, while the price of iron layers declined by 2.9 percent, and zinc layers - 2.4 percent.
