German company HeidelbergCement will build a cement terminal in Supsa (Western Georgia). It will take effect from April. The construction sites in the Black Sea will be supplied with cement from this terminal, the company told Trend.

According to the report, the need for making this strategic decision was dictated by the infrastructure projects initiated in Georgia. It increased the demand for cement.

The company intends to build a cement plant with capacity of 400,000 tons per year.

HeidelbergCement has invested 350 million lari in Georgia since 2006.
