"The Azerbaijani State Committee for Land and Cartography has allocated more than 203,000 hectares of state land for large grain farms," Chairman Garib Mammadov said on Friday.
"The Azerbaijani president has instructed to allocate a part of the state lands for large grain farms within the measures to ensure food security in early 2011," he said.
He said that this process will be implemented in two phases.
"The first stage involves the distribution of 60,000 hectares among farmers in 2011-2013, the second stage - the rest part from 2013 to 2020," he said.
