The number of registered small business entities in Uzbekistan (apart from farm enterprises) exceeded 247,200 as of Dec. 1, the Uzbek State Statistics Service reported.
A total of 33,100 small business entities were created in January to November, 2010, with 22,300, or 67.4 percent, created in real sector (including 7,400 in industry) and more than 10,700, 32.6 percent, in service sector.
In January to November small business entities' share accounted for 48.5 percent of the GDP compared to 48.5 percent a year ago, 20.7 percent for industry (18.7 percent) and 74.2 percent (73.6 percent) for recruitment.
