Turkmenistan auctioned about 490,000 tons of oil products from the Turkmenbashi refinery, and refineries in the Saydi and Nayip gas-processing complex at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.

Turkmenistan auctioned about 490,000 tons of oil products from the Turkmenbashi refinery, and refineries in the Saydi and Nayip gas-processing complex at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.

The country put as stock trades 50,000 tons of straight-run gasoline, about 100,000 tons of gasoline, over 250,000 tons of diesel fuel, 5,000 tons of polypropylene, 10,000 tons of furnace oil and 80,000 tons of fuel oil.

Some 23 deals were registered at the Turkmen State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.

Companies from Russia, UAE, Tajikistan and Afghanistan purchased the polypropylene, liquefied gas and diesel fuel. Total amount of contracts, including on sale of oil products exceeds $45 million.

The representatives from Azerbaijan, China, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Iran and other countries are the traditional participants of the auction.

The Commodity Exchange is a principal organ of state regulation of export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
