In November last year, the average nominal salary of an employee in Kazakhstan increased by 18.6 percent compared to the same month in 2010, and amounted to 91,793 tenge ($625), the Kazakh Statistics Agency said on Wednesday.
The highest salary remains in the spheres of professional, scientific and technical activities - 181,600 tenge ($1,235), which is twice more than the average national level.
It is followed by the sphere of financial and insurance activity - 180,300 tenge ($1,226), which also twice exceeds the average national level. Salary in mining and quarrying spheres amounts to 168,900 tenge ($1,148), which is by 1.8 times more than the average national salary.
Employees in agriculture, forestry and fishery spheres have the lowest salary - 50,700 tenge ($334), which is by 44.7 percent less than average rate throughout the country.
In regional scale, the highest salary remains in the Atyrau region - 162,700 tenge ($1,106), which is 1.8 times more than the average national rate. In the North-Kazakhstan region it amounts to 66,000 tenge ($449), which is 28.1 percent less than the average level on the country, the agency said.
