The terms of Tajikistan's joining the World Trade Organization (WTO) depends on how fast Tajikistan will be able to reform its legislation in compliance with the organization's demands, Asia-Plus quoted Saidrakhmon Nazriyev, Tajikistan's deputy minister of economic development and trade as saying.

"The earlier Tajikistan will hold all needed reforms, the sooner we will enter this organization," Nazriyev said on Wednesday.

He added that the country was holding intensive negotiations on the WTO membership. "The negotiations are either multilateral or bilateral and they are held with 32 countries of the world. The agreements have been reached only with China and India.

Nazriyev noted that the negotiations with the European Union and the U.S. are almost completed.

The WTO is an organization that intends to supervise and liberalize international trade.
