New appointments made to Kazakh metallurgical corporation

The Board of Directors of Kazakh metallurgical Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation (ENRC) made new appointments to the corporation's Board, ENRC reported on Friday.

According to ENRC Board of Directors' decision, Chairman of British American Tobacco p.l.c Richard Burrows and Global Head of Climate Business Group at the World Bank/IFC Mohsen A. Khalil were appointed to the posts of ENRC's Independent Non-executive Directors with effect from the close of the Annual General Meeting on June 12, 2012 and ENRC non-executive Director and a member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees Terence Wilkinson was appointed to the post of Senior Independent Director with immediate effect.

Following the appointments, the Board of ENRC currently comprises 12 Directors, seven of whom are Independent Non-executive Directors.

As part of a continuing evolution of the Group's corporate governance structure, membership of several of the Board Committees will be reviewed.
