The business activity index of the industrial sector of Uzbekistan, designed by the Centre for Antimonopoly Policy Improvement under the State Committee of the Republic, grew up by 1.3 points in September 2012 compared to August - to 66.2 points, the State Committee said.
As reported, the forecast of the index in September was 67.2 points.
According to the Centre for Antimonopoly Policy Improvement, the growth in the index by 5.4 points was observed in the field of mechanical engineering and electrical industry in September, by 4.4 points - in the field of agriculture and water resources and the production of consumer goods.
Growth forecast for the index in October 2012, according to analysts of the Center is 66.2 points, which indicates moderate expectations of businessmen.
The business activity index of the industrial sector is calculated from a survey of 100 large and medium-sized industrial enterprises.
The index is based on five key indicators such as new orders, production and sales volumes, employment, and the remains of the finished product.
