Ukraine plans to discuss the issue of joining Trans-Anatolian pipeline (TANAP) with Azerbaijan until the end of the year, Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Alexander Mishchenko told reporters on Monday.
He noted that the issue of energy resources diversification is a priority for Ukraine.
"Azerbaijan has large energy reserves. We are interested in projects involving energy interests of Ukraine. TANAP project designed to ensure the delivery of Azerbaijani gas to Europe" Mishchenko said.
He noted that Ukraine has a powerful gas transportation infrastructure.
Mishchenko added that the two countries intend to discuss the issue in detail until the year end.
TANAP project involves the construction of a pipeline from Turkey's eastern border to its western border to transport gas from Shah Deniz field to Europey.
