Kazakhstan amends budget for 2012-2014

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has signed the law on Introduction of Amendments and Supplements to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan" On Republican Budget for 2012-2014", the presidential press-service reported on Tuesday.

According to the press-service, the law is aimed at refinement of the country's development macroeconomic indexes this year and calculations of budget revenues for the first 9 months of 2012.

The budget deficit was increased from 779.8 billion to 983.1 billion tenge (150.46 tenge = $1), or to 3.1 percent of GDP to compensate the expected loss in consolidated revenues in 2012.

The revenues for 2012 were determined at 4.854 trillion tenge, decreasing by 382.8 billion tenge compared to the earlier approved budget. Excluding transfer of income of the amended national budget, revenue is forecasted at 3.213 trillion tenge in 2012 (a 403-billion tenge decrease).

The budget expenditures were decreased by 179.5 billion tenge to 5.837 trillion tenge.

The tax revenues forecast was decreased by 414 billion to 2.952 trillion tenge. Forecast for income from taxes on international trade and foreign operations was increased by 15.6 billion tenge, forecast for excise taxes on imported goods increased by 4.9 billion, target for non-tax revenue increased by 10.7 billion tenge, the revenues from selling the capital - by 107 million.
