Over the past 10 years, the amount of investments in Azerbaijan's economy reached 84 billion manat, head of the Economic Policy Department of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Mail Rahimov said during the theoretical and practical conference on 'Heydar Aliyev and Property Reforms in Azerbaijan' on Friday.
He said it has become possible due to the policy, the foundations of which were laid by national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Rahimov said that if previously over 60 per cent of the investments accounted for foreign investment, now 65 per cent of the specified 84 billion manat accounts for domestic investment.
At present about 240 companies with foreign capital from more than 30 countries operate in Azerbaijan which indicates the openness of the economy to investment and in particular to foreign investments, Rahimov said.
