Working groups from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are studying possible railway construction plans on a route which will go from Russia to Tajikistan, www.avesta.tj reported on Thursday.
The sides are now examining the possibility of construction of such a railway as well as the technical features of the project.
It is expected that a report will be introduced when the works are finished.
Reportedly, the new project will have great importance for the economy and social development in the regions.
The project was proposed by Kyrgyz Presdient Almazbek Atambayev at the CSTO summit in May, 2013.
