Turkmen state budget’s profit exceeds 122.8 per cent

As of January-November 2013, the profitable part of the Turkmen state budget was executed at 122.8 per cent with expenses at 96.5 per cent, the Turkmen Ministry of Finance said on Monday.

Some 76.9 per cent of the budgetary funds were spent in social development during the reporting period. Wages, pensions, state benefits and student scholarships were fully funded fully and on time.

Around 135 facilities were constructed as part of the national programme during this period.

This figure increased by 19.5 per cent or by 22 units compared to the same period of 2012.

'Some 1339.6 kilometres of water pipes, 649.8 kilometres of roads, 1795.1 kilometres of gas pipeline, 2186 kilometres of transmission lines have been laid, as well as some 430,900 square metres of living space have been commissioned in the 11 months of this year', a press release said.

According to the state budget-2013 approved by the Turkmen Parliament, the revenue of the state budget of 2012 was 86.335.8 billion manat, expenses at 89.735.8 billion manat.

The national currency has recently remained stable. One dollar equals 2.85 Turkmen manat.

Revenues are formed by such important sectors of industrial areas as oil and gas, chemical, power engineering and construction. The agro-industrial complex, transport and communication sector, textile and food industries will be further developed.

The revenues are planned to be increased by developing and stimulating the activity of private enterprise.
