Reforms of corporate sector expected in Azerbaijan (PHOTO)

A package of proposals for the development of the corporate sector in connection with the execution of the presidential decree 'On additional measures for the development of entrepreneurship', dated March 3, 2014, will be prepared by the State Securities Committee (SSC) of Azerbaijan. This was said by SSC Head, Rufat Aslanli at the conference entitled 'The role of entrepreneurship in economic development: Achievements and Prospects'. held in Baku on March 17.
"The package will include proposals on various reforms in this area, including the specification of the functions and procedures of the governing bodies of joint stock companies, elaboration of the mechanism of payment of dividends and other issues," he said. "The preparation of the package will be finalised in the coming days when it will be submitted to the head of state".
International experts whose opinions have been taken into account in the development the proposals, were involved successfully in the development of this segment, according to the committee head.
"I am confident that the implementation of the package will contribute to the development of the corporate sector of the country with the usage of advanced global experience," Aslanli said.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the SSC and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organisations during the conference. The document was signed by the SSC Chairman of the Confederation, Mammad Musayev.
