Kazakhstan sharply ups gold production in 1Q2015

Kazakhstan increased gold production by 31.1 percent in January-March 2015 compared to the same period of 2014

Kazakhstan increased gold production by 31.1 percent in January-March 2015 compared to the same period of 2014, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with reference to the Statistics Committee under Kazakh National Economy Ministry.

The country produced 13.29 metric tons of raw, semi-finished gold and gold in powder during the reporting period.

Refined gold production hit 8 metric tons (34.6 percent increase) in Jan.- March 2015.
Meanwhile raw, semi-finished silver, and silver in power production increased by 1.5 times to 321.2 metric tons. Refined silver production amounted to 320.5 metric tons (1.5 times indecrease) in this period.

Refined, raw and unalloyed copper production in January-March increased by 38.3 percent to 94,700 metric tons, raw zinc production decreased by 0.3 percent to 80,000 metric tons, raw lead production fell by 9.5 percent to 29,300 metric tons.
