Belarus’s Grodno eyes to increase trade with Azerbaijan
Baku, Azerbaijan, Dec. 7
By Anvar Mammadov - Trend:
Belarus’s Grodno region intends to greatly increase trade turnover with Azerbaijan, Mieczyslaw Goy, chairman of Grodno City Executive Committee, said.
Goy made the remarks at the Azerbaijan-Belarus business meeting in Baku Dec. 7.
"Over the first 10 months of 2017, the trade turnover between the Grodno region and Azerbaijan is $5 million,” he said. “But this figure does not reflect the full potential of our trade relations. I think we can double and even triple this figure."
The delegation, headed by Goy, included representatives of seven Belarus companies operating in various spheres.
The meeting, supported by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy, was organized by AZPROMO.
The data from Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee shows that the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Belarus amounted to $113.15 million in January-November 2017.
