The rail service between Turkey’s Van city and Iran’s Tabriz city, as well as between Ankara and Tehran will be resumed, a source in the Turkish Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications told Trend.
Negotiations between the two countries were held to resume rail service and the sides reached agreements on the development of relations in the railway sector.
The exact date of launching the rail service between Ankara and Tehran, as well as between Van and Tabriz was not disclosed.
The rail services were suspended in 2015.
