Kazakhstan’s honey producers plan to supply their products to China, developing production technologies to meet international standards, Kazakh media outlets reported.
One of the largest regions - producers of ecologically pure honey products of Kazakhstan is the Alakol region, where more than 100 honey production enterprises are currently operating.
Local honey producers opened a special mini-factory for the reception and packing of honey. In 2017 the factory received nearly 50 tons of honey. In 2018, this volume is expected to increase 4-fold.
Chinese experts visited three regions, where they got acquainted with the work of beekeepers.
"Based on the results of testing of Chinese experts, Kazakhstan's beekeeping products have the opportunity to enter the list of importers to China," said Olzhas Ausabaev, deputy chairman of the veterinary control and supervision committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
He added that presently there are no Kazakh beekeeping enterprises in the register of China's importers, and that the inspection of Chinese experts will speed up the entry of Kazakh honey to the Chinese market.
Experts also note that the production of Kazakh honey will grow, after the entrance to the Chinese market.
