The "Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation" OJSC plans to launch the second line of the first factory at the state enterprise "ASK Şüşə" LLC by the end of 2018 – beginning of 2019, the General Director of the Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation (AIC) Kamran Nabizade told Trend.
Earlier, the "ASK Şüşə" moved to the balance of the OJSC.
"Tender procedures related to the launch of the second production line of the enterprise, which produces bottles of clear glass, have already been carried out, the companies that will purchase the missing equipment have been identified,” Nabizade said.
“We hope that this line will be launched in 1Q2019. After the completion of this work, the capacity of the workshop will grow to 60-70 million bottles a year, from the current 30-35 million," Nabizade added.
The general director said at the moment the company also plans to launch a second workshop for the production of colored glass.
"Now the technical analysis of the existing project is being completed. Taking a decision about the technical part of the project will determine the engineering solution, on the basis of which the companies with whom we will cooperate in installation and construction issues will be identified through tender,” Nabizade said.
“This work includes construction of the furnace, installation of production lines and the actual construction work, as the construction of the building of the second workshop has not yet been completed. We hope that all this work will be completed by the end of 2019, and the enterprise will increase its production capacity by the beginning of 2020,” Nabizade added.
“It is difficult yet to predict the production capacity of the second workshop. This will depend on the decisions on the technical part of the project," the general director of the AIC concluded.
In November 2017, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the establishment of Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation OJSC. According to the decree, the authorized capital of AIC and other assets for its activities are formed mainly at the expense of the property which is owned by (being on the balance sheet of) CJSC "Aqrarkredit", received in exchange for troubled assets (debts) transferred from OJSC "International Bank of Azerbaijan", and which is transferred into the ownership (is currently on the balance sheet) of OJSC "AIC".
