First Vice President of Iran Eshaq Jahangiri has announced the customs tariffs for the new Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), alongside total customs duties and commercial profits for imports and exports.
The tariffs reforms on imports and exports customs suggested by the Minister of Industries, Mine and Trade confirmed by the cabinet members, will be implemented from March 21,2019, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
Some of the reformed tariffs items include poultry, meat, tomato, fruits, various vegetable seeds, grains and beans, animal feeds, genetically modified food, export of petrochemical products , antiserum, antibiotics, veterinary drugs.
In total, the changes affected 528 items.
The issued decree also states that according to tariffs, each passenger can leave the country with up to 24 square meters of handwoven carpet and 40 square meters of handwoven Kilim (flat tapestry-woven carpet or rug).
