An enterprise for the production of washing powders for automatic and manual washing has been opened in the Ak Bugday district of Turkmenistan's Ahal province, Trend reports via "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper.

For two months, the local private enterprise Turkmenberkmetall produced over 500 tons of high-quality products.

The company is one of the largest manufacturers of household chemicals for laundry in Turkmenistan.

The company is expected to manufacture 50,000 tons of products annually. Based on a three-shift schedule, 150 jobs will be created here.

In the production of washing powders, "Emaý" and "Güneş", both local and foreign raw materials are used. The surfactants are supplied to the company by partners from Turkey, fragrances from Spain and soda is purchased in the Mary province of the country, while sodium sulfate is supplied from the Caspian lagoon of Garabogazkol.

Washing powders contain optical brighteners, fragrances, additives that increase the stain-removing properties of the powder, as well as preserving and strengthening the structure of the fabric, polymers that do not allow dirt particles to penetrate back into the fabric.

The detergents, in certain proportions, contain water softeners, anti-sorbents, bleaches and fragrances that do not pose a danger, both to people and to the environment as a whole.

One of the main requirements for modern laundry detergents is environmental safety. To this end, Turkmen manufacturers abandoned the use of phosphates and chlorine-containing substances.
