Russian citizens purchased 1,264 pieces of real estate in Turkey in January-June 2019, which is 449 more than during the same period of 2018, the Turkish General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre told Trend.
As noted, Russian citizens purchased 190 pieces of real estate in Turkey in June 2019, which is 21 more than during the same month of 2018.
"Russian citizens mainly prefer to purchase real estate located in tourist provinces such as Antalya, Mugla and Izmir," the government agency said.
Some 61,355 pieces of real estate were sold in Turkey in June 2019, which is 48.6 percent less compared to June 2018.
In June 2019, 2,689 pieces of real estate were sold to foreigners in Turkey, which is 30.5 percent more compared to the same period in 2018.
