Delegation of the China Overseas Development Association (CODA) visited the SPZ-BEARINGS plant (Akhunbabaevsky Bearing Plant) in the Andijan region of Uzbekistan, where the sides agreed on the modernization of production, Trend reports via Uzbek media.
The negotiations were aimed at ensuring the release of the plant's products to the US market under the brand Made in Uzbekistan.
A CODA delegation led by Secretary General He Zhenwei visited Uzbekistan.
During the visit, the guests visited the capital, as well as Samarkand, Bukhara, Andijan and Tashkent regions, familiarized themselves with the process of economic development and the production potential of the regions.
Negotiations were held with the heads of local administrations, enterprises, and an exchange of views on cooperation issues took place.
In addition, a number of mutually beneficial agreements were reached on the construction of modern hotel complexes in the field of tourism, the production of mineral fertilizers in the chemical industry, the processing of fruits, the creation of technology parks, and the further development of cooperation in the field of information technologies.
“During the negotiations, agreements were concluded for an amount nearing $100 million. The issue of creating a joint investment fund was also discussed. The participation of the delegation of our country in a major international exhibition in China, which will be held in November of this year, is considered,” first deputy minister of investment and foreign trade of Uzbekistan Alisher Abdualiyev said.
As part of the visit to the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, cooperation agreements were signed with representatives of China Overseas Development Association.
