Major online retailer of Russia - Wildberries is planning to create a number of centers for online expertise of the company in major cities of Kazakhstan in order to develop online trade in the country, the company told Trend.

In June 2019 the corresponding memorandum was signed between Wildberries and Kazakh Invest company.

“In accordance to the agreement the first center will be created in Kazakhstan before the end of 2019,” the source in the company said.

“Overall three centers in Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent cities will be established. The establishment of these centers will allow for the small and medium business to receive necessary knowledge and tools for successful online trade, including training courses, available photo studios and so on,” the source said.

The source further stated that among the benefits for the creation of these centers is the simplification of interaction between suppliers from Kazakhstan with the company. The centers will allow for direct acceptance of goods in the centers, from which they will be redirected to distribution storages of the company.

“The launch of the centers will allow for the entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan to increase sales in the fast developing segment of online trade. Today a number of goods manufactured by Kazakh suppliers is already sold on the Wildberries site. The signed agreement will allow to increase the number of Kazakh suppliers who work with the company," the source added.

The source also noted that the company hopes that by attracting new suppliers the volume of online trade in countries of Eurasian Economic Union will get increased.
