Export-import bank of South Korea offered Uzbekistan to implement projects in the capital's transport system based on the one in Seoul, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

The administration of Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with a delegation representing South Korean Bank, during which problems in the public transport system of Tashkent were discussed.

Foreign experts have offered their approaches to solve problems, based on the experience of the transport system of Korea.

In particular, the South Korean Bank offered Uzbekistan to explore the infrastructure of Tashkent and the public transport system and diagnose problems of the Tashkent public transport system with the purpose to develop proposals for its improvement based on the experience of the reorganization of Korean public transport, in particular, in Seoul.

The proposed projects include innovations in public transport management that are applied in Seoul. For example, these are systems such as TOPIS (Transport Operation & Information Service), AFC (Automatic Fare Collection), BIMS (Bus Information Management System) and BRT (Bus rapid transit).

Moreover, at the meeting, the governor of Tashkent suggested to implement a pilot project for the opening of one high-speed bus route in Tashkent.
