The trade between Turkey and Belarus decreased by $4.791 million in June 2019 compared to the same month of 2018 and amounted to $36.943 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.
According to the ministry, exports from Turkey to Belarus during the reporting month amounted to $27.353 million, and imports from Belarus to $9.590 million.
The ministry noted that trade between the two countries increased by $15.525 million during the first half of the year, when compared to the same period in 2018, and was equal to $341.553 million in nominal terms.
"In the first half of the year, exports from Turkey to Belarus amounted to $250.851 million, and imports to $90.702 million," the ministry said.
In June 2019, Turkey's total foreign trade turnover was equal to $26 billion.
In June, Turkish exports fell by 14.3 percent compared to the same month last year and amounted to $11.8 billion. Meanwhile, imports in June decreased by 22.7 percent compared to June 2018 and amounted to $14.2 billion.
