Iran's Esfordi Phosphate Complex increases production

Phosphate concentrate production of Esfordi Phosphate Industrial and Mineral Complex increased by 14 percent in Iran’s Yazd Province over the first four months (March 21 – July 22) of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), stated Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), Trend reports referring to the organization’s website.

According to the information, the complex produced approximately 35,700 tons of phosphate concentrate in the four months. This figure stood at 31,400 tons during the same period of the previous year. The production volume of the complex increased by 93 percent compared to the production plan (18,500 tons).

Furthermore, 14,900 tons of phosphate concentrate have been exported or sold in the country. This figure shows an increase of 380 percent compared to the same period last year (3,100 tons).

In the reported period, the Esfordi Phosphate Industrial and Mineral Complex produced 77,600 tons of ore, which shows a 24-percent decrease compared to the same period last year (102,400 tons).

The Esfordi Phosphate Industrial and Mineral Complex is owned by IMIDRO and is located in Bafq County of Yazd Province, 35 km from the county’s administrative center.
