Baku macaroni factory eyes to export products to new market

The Baku-based Karmen macaroni factory intends to begin to export its products to the Middle East, Ilgar Ahmadov, marketing director of the factory, told Trend.

"The products may be exported to the Middle East no earlier than in 2020,” he said. “Presently, we are exploring the market. We are negotiating with potential partners.”

“The annual production volume of the factory is 30,000 tons of products,” Ahmadov added. “We produce 13 types of macaroni. More than seven types of macaroni are envisaged for export."

“Currently, the products are supplied to the Central Asian countries, as well as to Georgia,” he said. “More than 90 tons of macaroni have been exported to Georgia since early 2019.”

The company products have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents.

The German, Turkish and Swedish equipment is used at the factory.
