29 companies apply for investment license in Iran’s Shahid Beheshti Port

During the six months (March 21-September 22) of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), 29 companies have applied for investment licenses in Iran’s Shahid Beheshti Port in the Chabahar district of Sistan and Baluchestan province, said Behrooz Aghaei, director general of the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Trend reports referring to the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization’s website.

He said that more than 36 local and foreign delegations have got closely acquainted with the port.

He added that last Iranian year (March 21, 2018 - March 21, 2019), 150 local and foreign delegations have got acquainted with the port.

“These delegations have proposed 65 investment projects and signed 17 agreements,” he said.

He noted that the private sector investors in Iran and other countries consider the Shahid Beheshti Port to be safe and reliable.

He added that this port is considered a trade gate between the CIS states, Afghanistan and Central Asia, as well as the countries around the Indian Ocean, and is the most reliable and profitable port for transit.
