IMIDRO: Project worth $3.98B to be launched in Iran this year

A project worth $3.98 billion will be launched this year in Iran (started March 21, 2019), said Khodadad Gharibpour, chairman of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), Trend reports via Shata news agency.

He said that 3,000 people will be employed by the organization until the end of the year (March 21, 2020) and 150 mines will be commissioned as a result of this.

He added that the IMIDRO roadmap envisages 145 projects.

“In this regard, 10 million tons of steel will be produced in the Persian Gulf Special Economic Zone as part of the Persian Gulf Consortium and 10 million tons of steel will be produced in the Chabahar Free Trade-Industrial Zone,” he said.
