Ukrainian Maritime Engineering Bureau building ships in Azerbaijan

Ukrainian Marine Engineering Bureau is building several types of vessels in Azerbaijan, the company told Trend.

RST12C tankers with deadweight of 7,875 tons with an enhanced “Caspian function” are currently being built by order of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company.

“In total, four such tankers are being built at the Baku Shipyard LLC by order of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company. The main RST12C tanker “Lachin” will be commissioned this year,” the company said.

In addition, the Marine Engineering Bureau is building CNF18C rail-car-passenger ferries for the Caspian lines.

“In total, two such ferries are being built at the Baku Shipyard for Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company. The launch of the main ferry “Azerbaijan” is expected within a month,” the company said.

Further, the Marine Engineering Bureau said that five WSB01 (1547) support vessels are being built at the new site of the Zykh Shipyard.
