Since the beginning of 2019, Azerbaijan's Khirdalan brick factory has exported 1,500 tons of bricks to Georgia, a source at the factory told Trend.
"We plan to bring the total amount of brick exports to Georgia to 2,000 tons before the end of 2019. Starting from the beginning of 2020, we plan to increase exports to Georgia by 150-200 tons. The largest share of supplies falls on block bricks. The factory produces more than 50 types of bricks," the source said.
The source also noted that the company will send 460 tons of its products to Georgia before the end of 2019.
Presently, the daily brick production at this enterprise is 500 tons. The factory is working at full capacity, without downtime. Production is aimed at both domestic and export orders.
German technology has been introduced in the factory's production process. Presently, two units of the factory are involved in production.
Khirdalan brick factory was established in 2005 and is located 10 kilometers from Baku.
The company collaborates with organizations and production unions involved in the construction and installation industry in Germany, Greece, the Czech Republic, Turkey and Russia.
