Over 380,000 tons of cargo transshipped through Iran’s Deyr port

Some 384,000 tons of cargo were transshipped through Deyr port of Iran’s southern Bushehr province from March 21 through October 22 of this Iranian year (beginning on March 21, 2019), Director of Ports and Maritime Organization of the port Farhad Kazemi said.

“Loading increased by 53 percent, while unloading - by 123 percent compared to the same period of last year,” the director of the organization said.

“Vegetables, mining products, building materials and dairy products were exported to Qatar and Kuwait through Deyr port,” Kazemi said.

“Presently, 20 vessels are used for the export of goods,” the director of the organization said. “The use of wooden ships for export is also encouraged.”

Deyr port is located 200 kilometers south of Bushehr city.
