The last platform was installed on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th phases of the Iranian part of the South Pars gas field, located in the territorial waters of Iran and Qatar, the Iranian Pars Oil and Gas Company told Trend on Nov. 16.
“After the main platform was installed on the 23rd phase on Nov. 12, 24B platform was successfully installed on the 24th phase - the last platform on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th phases,” the company said.
“After the commissioning of this platform, daily gas production at the South Pars field will increase by 14.2 million cubic meters,” the company added.
Some 56 million cubic meters of acid gas, 75,000 tons of gas condensate, 400 tons of sulfur, 1.05 million tons of liquid gas and one million tons of ethane are planned to be annually produced on the 22nd -24th phases of the South Pars field.
The Iranian South Pars gas field (North Dome in Qatar) is a gas field between Iran and Qatar. The field’s reserves are estimated at 51 trillion cubic meters of gas.
