Dadli Nakhchivan Mahsullari, an Azerbaijani foodstuff company in the country's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, is preparing to export dried fruits to Russian and Polish markets, the founder of the company Emin Tarverdiyev told Trend.

"Negotiations are underway with foreign partners and the volumes and delivery times are being determined. We have already received orders for the export of dried persimmons from Poland. We plan to determine the details of supplies before the end of 2019 and begin exporting 2020," Tarverdiyev said.

"There is also a great demand for our products in the Russian market. We are planning to start negotiations with potential partners in this country in early 2020. At the moment, the volume of dried fruit production is about one ton daily, but we expect to increase this figure from next year by 1.5-2 times. Also, we are setting up packaging production in order to export products in retail packages, which will significantly increase the level of service and will affect the cost of our products."

Tarverdiyev noted that since early 2019, the company has produced about 50 tons of products.

"At the same time, the largest share of the products is intended for export. We expect to increase export volumes of dried apples and persimmons, since these two types of our products are in the greatest demand both in the domestic market and abroad," Tarverdiyev added.

Tarverdiyev noted that the company has a chain of stores in Nakhchivan, and also plans to open new outlets in Baku and other cities of the country.

"By the end of 2019, another store will open in Baku, and several sales outlets are planned to open in Sumgayit next year. Different varieties of our company's organic products are presented in such stores," he added.
