Ceremony marking the launch of construction of an international airport in Iran's Chabahar Province was held, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The event was attended by Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, the Governor Sistan and Baluchistan Province, CEO of Chabahar Free Zone and a group of local managers.
"The construction of airport in Chabahar can solve many problems and accelerate the development of Makran coasts (semi-desert coastal strip in Balochistan, in Pakistan and Iran, along the coast of the Gulf of Oman)," said Minister Mohammad Eslami.
“Khatam Al-Anbiya Construction Headquarter has helped the government in completing the projects in Chabahar,” Eslami said.
“We hope to complete and launch the Chabahar Airport, 540-bed hospital and Shahid Beheshti Port as soon as possible.”
