ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, Dec. 17

By Huseyn Hasanov - Trend:

Intellectual property standards have been adopted in Turkmenistan in accordance with the law on trademarks and law on appellations of origin, Trend reports with reference to the country's president's decree.

In particular, fees for trademarks and appellations of origin have been approved.

In June 2019, law on trademarks has entered into force in Turkmenistan. The law regulates the relations arising in the field of legal protection and use of trademarks.

The construction of new industrial and processing facilities, including those with wide participation of entrepreneurs, has made it possible to fill the domestic market with high-quality goods, successfully competing with foreign analogues, and also increase their deliveries to world markets, the Turkmenistan State News Agency reported.

In general, all this justifies the relevance of new legislation acts that regulate relations arising in the sphere of legal protection and use of trademarks and appellations of origin of the goods.

It is also important in the context of enhancing foreign trade activities of domestic facilities that adopt modern methods of business organization and marketing.
