Trend:
Iran's major automaker Iran Khodro has produced 150,000 vehicles in the past three months, and the company plans to complete the rest of the registered orders by May 22, 2020, said the CEO of Iran Khodro Industrial Group (IKCO) Farshad Moghimi, Trend reports via IRNA.
"By increasing production, Iran Khodro would be able to up its production capacity from 2,000 vehicles to 3,000," said Moghimi.
The auto market in Iran has faced multiple changes in the current Iranian year (began March, 21.2019), many people have registered online for pre-sale of domestically made cars, however the devaluation of national currency in the country led to increase of car prices.
"The government has implemented measures to provide financing to Iran Khodro, to pay off their delayed costs," Moghimi said.
The official indicated that IKCO's policy is to use all the advances to pay off its debts to manufacturers of spare parts.
As member of Iran's Auto Parts Manufacturers Association Ebrahim Ahmadi told Trend earlier, the losses of Iran Khodro Company during the current Iranian year (started March 21,2019) stood at $1.9 billion.
