Iran's exports through Golestan customs announced

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30

More than 354,000 tons of products worth $140 million were exported via customs of Golestan province in northeastern Iran last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 20, 2020), said Ebrahim Hosseini Managing Director of Golestan Province customs office, Trend reports citing Mehr news agency.

According to Hosseini, the exported products were mainly polystyrene, milk and dairy products, iodine, pipes and profiles, iron shafts and cement.

Hosseini added that these products were mainly exported to Iraq, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.

The official said that provincial customs revenues exceeded 441 billion rials (about $10.5 million) in the reporting period. Customs revenues increased by 162 percent compared to the year before last (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019).

Hosseini said that 52,890 people came to the province last year and 52,820 people departed from the province
