Residents of rural areas, who want to start up small or medium-size business will get funds in the amount of up to 30,000 lari ($9,345) in Georgia, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said during the presentation of anti-crisis economic plan, Trend reports via Georgian media.
According to Gakharia, assistance to agriculture and development of local production is one of the main components of the anti-crisis plan.
“With the financial aid, the beginner entrepreneurs will take the responsibility to create additional job places,” Gakharia said.
In addition, the commercial banks will get long-term financial support in the amount of 600 million lari ($189.6 million), the prime minister said.
He noted that additional 500 million lari ($155.7 million) will be allocated in support of business.
Also, companies, the government will cover 30 percent of old credits of companies.
