The total volume of Azerbaijan’s export of non-oil products amounted to $429 million from January through March 2020, which is 3.3 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to the Export Review of country’s Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication on April 29.
Russia is a leader among the countries that imported Azerbaijani products over the reporting period. Russia’s import of Azerbaijani non-oil products amounted to $134.4 million, which is 40.2 percent of all non-oil exports.
The other four countries are Turkey (import of Azerbaijani products amounted to $104.4 million), Georgia - $42.9 million, Switzerland - $40.8 million, and China - $12.2 million.
During 1Q2020, Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports to Russia grew by 16.6 percent, Turkey – by 5.2 percent, Switzerland – 21.1 percent, and to China – by 18.4 percent.
The total export of Azerbaijan’s non-oil products amounted to $1.9 billion in 2019, $690.6 million of which accounted for Russia (slightly above 35 percent of all exports).
The top five countries in terms of non-oil export volume also included Turkey ($401.8 million), Switzerland ($179 million), Georgia ($159.1 million) and Ukraine ($50.6 million).
