Number of restored enterprises in Iran announced

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 12

The activities of 314 industrial enterprises have been restored since the beginning of current Iranian year (March 20, 2020), Iranian Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and Executive Director of the Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) Mohsen Salehinia said, Trend reports citing the ministry.

The deputy minister stressed that with the resumption of activities of these enterprises, 5,623 people were provided with jobs.

Salehinia added that 27 percent of the most rehabilitated enterprises are in the metal industry, 26 percent in the chemical industry, and 18 percent in the food and beverage industry.

According to him, the activities of 78 industrial enterprises were restored during last week.

As many as 44 industrial enterprises were restored in Tehran Province, 40 in Isfahan Province and 28 in West Azerbaijan Province. In this regard, these regions are in the top three.

"No enterprises’ activities have been restored in Iran's North Khorasan, Kurdistan and Mazandaran provinces in the current Iranian year," he said.

As a result of certain economic and other problems in Iran, a number of enterprises have ceased operations. It is planned to resume the activities of 1,500 enterprises in Iran this year.
