Georgian designers have exported jewelry worth 410,000 lari ($134,199) to France with help of state program Produce in Georgia, Trend reports citing Georgian media.

This became possible following participation of the representatives of Georgian jewelry brands Eshvi and Nevernot in Paris Fashion Week earlier this year and exhibiting the jewelry at a showroom.

During the event, the Georgian jewelers established business relations with international partners and signed export agreements, Produce in Georgia agency said.

Furthermore, as a result of an increased awareness of Georgian brands, demand for the jewelry has increased on international markets, added the agency.

The Produce in Georgia program was set up in the summer of 2014 to stimulate local production and offers two main incentives: financial resources and infrastructure (land, buildings, etc.). In April 2017, the agency of the same name was created, which combined all state programs aimed at promoting the business sector and economic development of the country.
