Azerbaijan imported pharmaceutical products worth over $271.1 million from January through September 2020, which is 30.9 percent more compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.
In 9M2020, Azerbaijan imported 16,930 tons of pharmaceutical products, which is 52 percent more compared to 9M2019. The share of pharmaceutical products in Azerbaijan's total imports is 3.47 percent, the report said.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover in the reporting period amounted to $18.4 billion, having annually risen by 27.1 percent.
In the structure of foreign trade turnover, exports accounted for $10.5 billion, which declined by 28.8 percent on an annualized basis. The share of exports decreased by 1.4 percentage points for the year, amounting to 57.49 percent of the total foreign trade turnover.
