Afrosiyob Palace is a hotel complex in the city center of Samarkand, located opposite the Gur-e-Amir mausoleum and Amir Temur avenue, 400 meters from the Registan square, 15 minutes’ walk from the Bibi-Khanym Mosque.

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated September 5, 2018, the Afrosiyob Palace hotel was planned to be sold to the Singapore Company EXIM Investments Pte Ltd with the obligation to pay the existing debts of the enterprise, invest $12 million and create 100 new jobs.

Due to the fact that the investor did not fulfill the obligations specified in the agreement in a timely manner, the Samarkand Regional Territorial Administration of the State Asset Management Agency on February 19, 2020, filed a lawsuit with the Economic Court and by a court decision of May 11, 2020, the sale and purchase agreement concluded between the parties was terminated.

In accordance with the decision of the meeting of the Samarkand territorial tender commission dated August 31, 2020, the hotel complex was re-put up for auction at the established price with the existing investment and social obligations.

The auction will take place on December 7, 2020
