Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters to take part in Narmab dam impoundment

Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters is expected to work on the Narmab dam impoundment in Golestan Province, Golestan governor Hadi Haghshenas told Trend.

"The pipeline and distribution network should be formed after dam impoundment , the water reservoir of the dam would be ready for impoundment in May,"Haghshenas said.

The official pointed out that the project cost $160 million, and $71 million more is expected to be received.

Haghshenas clarified that Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters would not be part of construction of petrochemical project in Golestan province since the private sector is already involved, he said.

He said that however if the private sector contractors are interested, the Khatam-al Anbia Construction Headquarters may get join in on the project.

"The private sector has problems, about 90,000 shares of the petrochemical complex have been sold , however due to financial problems the private sector could not form the petrochemical site," he said.

"The land has been assigned to it but the construction process isn't active yet, Khatam-al Anbia Construction Headquarters has stated that if the private sector requests then it would participate in the project," he said.

"The early estimation for construction of petrochemical complex is $460 million," he said.

Haghshenas pointed out that no foreign investors will be allowed to take part in this project.
